Hello & welcome to Maya's Grade 9 Macbeth Bootcamp! 👋
This is a very exciting opportunity to join an intensive, life-changing group programme during the Easter holidays. I am only accepting 6 students so apply early to secure your spot!
We will meet every day for a live group class on zoom, 8.30-10am UK time. Each day we will cover a different aspect of Macbeth. In these calls I will be teaching you exactly how to get a grade 9 using my signature grade 9 method. We will work through each aspect of Macbeth from grade 9 context, to character analysis, theme analysis to detailed language analysis. You will develop a whole new view of Macbeth and learn how to craft and construct a Macbeth essay that is underpinned by a clear concept, theory and critical interpretation.
The biggest goal is to teach you how to write a full mark Macbeth essay but my secret goal is to infuse our classes with passion and enthusiasm, sharing my love for literature and hopefully inspiring you to love this play almost as much as I do!
All of our calls are interactive and collaborative so you will get the opportunity to engage, ask questions and share ideas. Throughout the week we will develop an exciting group energy, inspiring and encouraging one another!
You will be given an assignment to complete each day and will receive detailed feedback and grading on each essay you write, 5 marked assignments in total. You will also receive 10 grade 9 eBooks to help you alongside the course. On top of this, all the classes will be recorded and uploaded, along with the eBooks, to a personalised folder you will have lifetime access to so you can continue to review and rewatch all the content in the run up to your exams!
The Master Plan!
Get ready for a week like no other!
🔥 DAY 1 🔥
GRADE 9 CONTEXT
We will explore the key ideas and context that underpins the play. This will help us to develop deep grade 9 interpretations to craft an impressive thesis. We will also explore the story and how this links to the key context.
🔥 DAY 2 🔥
GRADE 9 CHARACTER ANALYSIS
On day two we will begin to analyse the characters in detail, looking at who they represent, what they symbolise, how they are presented. We will explore them in detail looking at key quotes and grade 9 quotation analysis.
🔥 DAY 3 🔥
GRADE 9 THEME ANALYSIS
On day three we will explore the key themes in detail looking at exactly how that theme is presented and explored throughout the entire play. What was Shakespeare trying to suggest and advocate through the presentation of each theme? What are the deeper meanings and writer's intentions? We will also continue to link this to key quotations with grade 9 analysis examples.
🔥 DAY 4 🔥
GRADE 9 THEORIES
The most exciting day. On day four we will put all of this together and explore Shakespeare's deeper intentions. Why did he craft the play in this way? Is it feminist or misogynist? Is it pro-monarchy or anarchist? What was the impact on real people at the time? How is the play a reflection of Shakespeare's own life at this stage? What is the relevance in today's world? All of this will help us to craft and construct a grade 9 thesis which will underpin our entire essay!
🔥 DAY 5 🔥
